Qantas Project Sunrise
We designed and developed a fully custom editorial website inspired by Project Sunrise, Qantas’ ambitious initiative to make non-stop flights between Australia’s east coast and London and New York a reality. Rather than presenting the project through technical specifications alone, the experience was conceived as a cinematic scrollytelling journey, combining custom development, immersive motion, and carefully crafted interactions to communicate the innovation, comfort, and vision behind one of aviation’s most ambitious programs.

Challenge
Project Sunrise represents far more than a new aircraft—it’s a story of engineering, passenger wellbeing, and the future of long-haul travel. The challenge was to transform that complexity into a digital experience that felt intuitive and emotionally engaging, allowing visitors to discover the project naturally without relying on dense technical content or conventional navigation.

Solution
Every aspect of the experience was designed and developed from the ground up around a single narrative. Frame-by-frame animations, interactive maps, cinematic transitions, and subtle microinteractions work together to create a continuous flow, guiding visitors through the aircraft, its cabins, onboard wellbeing, and the historic routes that define Project Sunrise. Instead of browsing a website, users progress through a carefully paced story where design, motion, and technology become one cohesive experience.

Results
The result is a digital experience that feels closer to an interactive documentary than a traditional website. By combining editorial design, custom software development, and immersive storytelling, the project demonstrates how complex ideas can be transformed into memorable digital narratives that are as engaging as they are informative.

AN IMMERSIVE DIGITAL EXPERIENCE FOR ONE OF AVIATION’S MOST AMBITIOUS VISIONS THAT TURNS INNOVATION INTO STORYTELLING.
